"Pastors Who Last" with Collin Hansen
October 3, 2019
10:30am – 1:00pm
Location: 332 E Seminary Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187Category: Pastors' Lunch | Coordinator: Brad Wetherell
Preaching pastors from the Chicago area are invited to our next chapter meeting on October 3, 2019. These meetings provide an opportunity to get to know like-minded pastors from our region, hear encouraging teaching, pray for the advance of the gospel in Chicago, and share a meal together.
If you’ve never doubted your calling to pastoral ministry, you must be new. For pastors to last, we need motivation more durable than sermon feedback, and more reliable than Monday morning blues. In our time together we'll consider 7 steps to persevere for a lifetime in ministry by examining the lives of pastors who endured many hardships for the sake of Jesus Christ.
Attendees will also receive a copy of Faithful Endurance: The Joy of Shepherding People for a Lifetime edited by Collin Hansen and Jeff Robinson Sr.
Collin Hansen serves as editorial director for The Gospel Coalition. He is the author and editor of several books, including Faithful Endurance: The Joy of Shepherding People for a Lifetime, 12 Faithful Men: Portraits of Courageous Endurance in Pastoral Ministry, and 15 Things Seminary Couldn't Teach Me. He earned an MDiv at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and an undergraduate degree in journalism and history from Northwestern University. He and his wife belong to Redeemer Community Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and he serves on the advisory board of Beeson Divinity School.
