Pastors from the Chicago area are invited to our next pastors lunch on February 16, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at College Church in Wheaton. These meetings provide an opportunity to build relationships with like-minded pastors, hear encouraging teaching, and pray for the advance of the gospel in the Chicago area.

Some estimates indicate that one in four people suffer from mental health issues, with anxiety and depression making up the majority. As pastors, we want to think well about how to care for the members of our flocks struggling in these ways.

At this chapter gathering, we will hear from Jonathan Anderson, founder of Steeple Counseling—a gospel-centered private counseling practice focused on working with churches and ministry leaders to equip effective care of those suffering from mental health challenges. Be encouraged and refreshed as he shares practical tools and clinical insights for shepherding those who suffer. Come prepared with questions from your ministry experiences as we engage in conversation during the Q&A discussion.

Jonathan-110819-Website-1024x1024 (1)Jonathan Anderson (MA, MDiv, LCPC) founded Steeple Counseling in 2018 with the help of his colleagues and friends in response to a deep and growing burden for gospel-centered counseling that is clinically excellent and biblically faithful.

Prior to Steeple Counseling, Jonathan worked for several years as a therapist at Alliance Clinical Associates. Before his time at Alliance, he was tasked with leading the Latino Mental Health Initiative at Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health. It was at Alexian that Jonathan developed a niche for working with a range of issues, including: depression, anxiety, life direction, career counseling, panic attacks, marriage/relationship issues, anger, post-traumatic stress, addictions and trauma.  His passion for seeing change is driven by his belief that every single life is valuable.
